Special occasions are a time when MapleStory adds something to the game for the upcoming holidays. Examples of this are MapleStory's birthday in which they had candles drops, blue and red presents etc. The red presents would sell for about $700,000, and the blue presents would go for over 2 millions! The candles would go for over $10,000 each!

Maplers should take advantage of these special occasions to make more mesos for their characters faster if they want to become a Billionaire in the game.

One good, recent example of a special occasion would be the Halloween theme. This was when Halloween candies would drop and you could either get Maldies candies or a Halloween basket. You can make mesos by selling the presents or Halloween Baskets in the game.

The thing is where you can get these candies. Many Maplers say drops are luck. But I know there are certain zones or areas that drop much more frequently than others. An example of this is Ellina zone 2 on the left. This zone starts off as a straight line, but you can jump into a tree, and port up or down. This zone rocks because I was able to average about 30 candies and 5-6 candles an hour!
