Runescape Vs MapleStory
MapleStory:
Graphics: Yes they are 2-d, but your point is? They have a very appealing anime look to them. Anime is also very big among the age group that plays this game, so the graphics draw to that crowd. The monsters have very creative designs and bosses have allot of work put into them, and it shows. The bosses are so detailed and creative that it blows you away its free. Classes special skills also have special animations.
8.5/10
Economy & Hackers: These are two major problems in almost all MMORPG's. Over the last 2 months, Nexon have really cut down on the amount of hackers there are. On my mule, I rarely see one at pig beach. Hackers used to make people quit it was so bad. Fixing that big of a problem shows that they care about your gaming experience. Also, the economy used to be so bad, illbis cost 32mil, now they are 20 (broa price). Glove atk 60%s used to be 7.5mil, now they are 2mil. The economy is now cheap due to the hacker problem being solved.
9/10
Lasting Appeal: MapleStory can keep you hooked for a looooong time. Take it from me, I played till lvl 100 on my hermit and I still enjoyed the game. Too bad someone key logged my account and withdrew the account. Back on topic, there are allot of things to keep you busy doing. There are PQ's, guild quests, bosses, events, quests, etc. If you enjoy playing a well thought through game, PLAY THIS!
9/10
Overall: Drum roll please... 9/10!
Runescape:
Graphics- From the last review, my eyes, it seems, have gotten a whole lot better. Or at least I have realized how garbage these graphics are. I would rather have good 2-d than crap stained 3D ones. I mean, I can't even see my eyes in the game, do I have any? When they try to make it better, they de-grade the graphics. The buildings walls are all curvy blocks.
5/10
Hackers and Economy: Woah, woah, woah. Hackers are a major problem in Runescape, they made me quit. I can barely cut yew logs. There are like 30 of them in Fally, 20 in Draynor, and 5 in Varrock. On every world. There are too many of them to stop. Jagex bans allot of them, but then there are twice as many as before. Major problem. Economy, it's pretty good. It may take a little longer to make money than MapleStory, but you can buy a little more with it.
6/10
Last Appeal: Yes, there are allot of mini games and there is a pking system. To get mini games, its $5. The pking sucks in f2p, just like every thing else in the f2p in this game. To be hooked to this game you have to. A) pay $5. or B) Love this game as if it was god-like (it isn't).
Three Best Jobs on Maplestory
Chief Bandit
The Chief Bandit is probably the best job advancement there is. They have excellent attacking power, speed, and accuracy which makes them a formidable class. The Chief Bandit's skill Meso Explosion allows the player to explode nearby mesos and deal damage to monsters. Since most players don't even pick up the scrap pieces of mesos it's a great skill to have. The skill Assaulter is a Chief Bandit's main attacking skill. It has a damage of 520% of your normal attack and allows to to teleport through monsters while you hit so that you can come around and strike it again. The thief class also has the Haste skill which allows the character move faster and jump higher depending on the skill level that is excellent for the Chief Bandit.
Dragon Knight
Dragon Knight's are a warrior class and have massive power. The main attacking skill is power strike which hits 260% your normal damage until you level spear crusher quite a bit. Warriors also have a skill that allows them to hit multiple targets in front of them at once which is similar to a skill that Dragon Knight's get that allows the character to hit front, back, above, and below to a certain distance. Although slow, Dragon Knight's, like all warriors, have a high HP so that they can last a long time without dying.
Ranger
Rangers are a ranged class that uses arrows to hit enemies but as soon as they have mastered Soul Arrow they are able to hit without depleting arrows. Buying arrows everytime you run out and then go hunting again is a hassle and that makes Soul Arrow a crucial skill for a Ranger. Ranger's also have a variety of skills to hit mobs, single strong monster or both. The skill Arrow Rain hits up to 6 monsters at once each hit with 160% of your normal damage while Strafe fires 4 arrows each up to 100% normal damage at a single target. Silver Hawk, while requiring a summoning rock summons a silver hawk that will follow you and attack enemies for up 180 seconds and 70 hit with 99% of stunning the enemy which means leaving them unable to attack or move for a while.
A Maplesea Guide to Recognizing Scams
Okay, so let us define what a scam is first. A scam is a confidence trick, which is to swindle or cheat someone by gaining his or her confidence.
There are several scams, so let us start with the less sophisticated ones:
Person A is at a high level, while person B is at a low level. Person B offers Person A a trade of his or her higher level account in the same or other worlds.
